Hi Quentin and Nicola,

had some problems to translate your messages - the official forum language is English (see News&Community-Forum now open). I translated using translate.google.com

"Same situation, I believe that the problem may be in the fact that to associate carplay the car becomes visible and the first connection is made via telephone, if it were possible to associate carbotics as you do with the telephone it could also work, but I don't know how is could do ... Too bad because I tried it on my partner's captur and as soon as you connect the cable you are connected, disarmingly easy "

First of all please remove any remaining connection(s) to your phone - if a connection is already occupied Carbotics isn't able to connect. If this is done reconnect Carbotics to your Mini (as you have done to your partners Captur). Then you can connect to your phone again: This connection has to run through Carbotics and NOT through the head unit.

Bye for now  Fred

Thanks for the reply. I tried to disconnect the devices from the Mini and then reconnect the carbotics, but unfortunately it didn't connect. I think the problem is that the system cannot connect the carplay via usb but only via bluetooth. therefore, as described by Quentin, it would be necessary to find the system to make the two devices communicate via bluetooth. I hope we can find a solution .... thanks

From first message of this thread:

NOTE: Wireless Carplay is currently not supported. This means that many BMW models are not supported. If you have a BMW, list the model number here and we'll confirm if it is compatible with our programmers.

Thanks!

So for the time being there is no solution for your Minis (and those other "wireless BMWs"). I can't think about an easy work around for this problem. Blame BMW for this. In addition please contact info@carbotics.net and hope for a reply from R&D. Sorry guys, have no idea how to help you.

Bye for now  Fred

I'm still up for trading a Car Dongle for a Carbotics to the people that can't get theirs to work, hahaha
