Hello,

My BMW X3 iDrive 6 (2018) only support wireless carplay, meaning that I won’t be able to have carplay if my iphone is only cabled by the USB port.

I have received the last carbotics version equipped with android 13.

It works well with my Renault Rlink2 system which required to have the carbotics wired connected using the usb socket.

That is not the case with my BMW which only accept wireless connection to have carplay (the carbotics shall connect itself to the BMW car using wireless connection instead of the usb)

Is there a way to make it works with wireless only ?

Thanks for your help.

@spiken As you can read here ( https://carbotics.net/community/compatibility/carplay2droid-4g-compatibility-list/#post-15 ) CarBotics needs a wired connection which is not provided from several BMWs. Maybe updating your head unit software can implement that (ask your BMW dealer), but I suppose there is no way to make it work.

Bye for now Fred
