I didn't see the blue light on the side of the unit on. Also, is the extra adapter on the cable necessary?
Volkswagen ID.4 model 2021
Checked out the video. Here are my answers:
The additional adapter is needed to connect USB-C to USB-C. This shouldn't harm connection (at least my adapter works in my setups)
Can't see a blue light either (not visible). From the response - better non-response - of the head unit I'd suspect there is no/not enough power to start CarBotics.
Solution: The customer needs an additional cable to power up Carbotics. This cable most likely will fit: Example (you just have to provide an additional power source like this car charger)
Bye for now Fred
@ap756 We were able to troubleshoot using a different method.
The blue light not turning on was the main give away.
We have him connect to his PC using your tutorial (connect Carbotics to PC https://carbotics.net/community/compatibility/prove-of-concept-carbotics-running-on-a-pc/#post-23), then had him reconnect to his car, and it worked!
Great news. How to solve a problem is less important than "problem is solved" 😊.
Bye for now Fred
