Francesco, your CarDongle depends on USB (wired) connection. Your head unit waits for a bluetooth connection, but CarBotics is not able to work wireless at this time. Solution: While connecting CarDongle switch off the Bluetooth of your head unit and let CarDongle connect by wire.

Most important: Right now your head unit wants to be the boss and refuses to give any of it's "power" to any other component. But CarDongle is designed to be the only control centre of car entertainment. Your head unit and CarDongle are fighting, that's it. If you tell your head unit "to shut up" (switchig off Bluetooth in the head unit) CarDongle will be able to connect using the wired connection. It's all about priority. After that you can establish any connection with CarDongle as the main control centre. Hope this helps.

Bye for now  Fred

Hello Fred, thanks for your help and advice.
The Toyota multimedia system expects a wired connection as the main one (in fact, if I connect my Android or Ios mobile phone with a USB cable, the connection is instantaneous).
If, on the other hand, I want to connect a device via Bluetooth, I have to click on the appropriate button.

The video I shared is clear about this this feature.
I am looking for the bluetooth since the connection is not completed via cable and tries to reconnect indefinitely.

I don't understand if we are circling the problem, the firmware that the carbotics device came with is unable to connect via cable to my car.

I'm sorry it's always you who answers, I'm waiting for a solution to my problem from the admin.

The product as it is is of no use to me, despite myself I have 2 that are resting in the box, waiting to be sent back.

I await news from Carbotics, all possible and imaginable tests have been done.

I am also satisfied with an answer, such as, we are working on it or more clearly it is not possible to solve this problem.

Thank you

In fact it is the first thing I wrote, you are available and offer excellent ideas to try to solve the problems.
But then you need an Admin.

I could propose to exchange the car with my friend, heheheheh.
I give him the Yaris cross and he gives me the Captur.

So I could use carbotics !!!  😋 😋

AOA, watched your video a couple of times. You got the new version APN888-NA-00-00, Carbotics works correct. But your head unit doesn't fully connect.

Step 1: Please try a different (longer) USB cable (if it's a hardware problem, we'll see a difference, but more likely it's an interference)

Step 2: Try in a different car. We have to know the differences in behavior.

Step 3: Switch on Wifi in your head unit and look for carbotics (wait for ~30 seconds to be sure Carbotics started up correctly: steady red LED, blue LED slowly blinking). This way you might establish a working Wifi connection.

If all fails please contact info@carbotics.net, maybe they already know a solution.

Bye for now  Fred

They will have a solution (if there is a chance to fool your head unit) 👍 . Keep us informed.

AOA, great attempt! I like your attitude. Definitively this is another "proof of concept". Thank you for informing us. I'm sure developers will analyse your findings and will find a simple solution to avoid additional hardware. Your help is much appreciated.

Bye for now  Fred

@catandy80

Hi I have connected my carbotics on a Captur, it doesn't have the same screen that I see in the picture, it will be an older version of yours.

 The display was correct.

Your screen is positioned vertically, have you tried to click on the rotate screen, as you normally do on mobile phones and / or tablets?
